Suspending soft plastic?  Pretty cool concept.  The two sizes of pike and the lizard are available in a suspending crank/twitch style.  Getting soft plastic to suspend was one challenge, getting it in a material that is significantly more durable is a double bonus.  Both of these benefits come from a new, patent pending material called Formula-X.

When a new bait comes on the market you hear words like new, innovative, revolutionary, etc.  This time I know that all of these words apply to the Lifelike Lures series.  You have never seen a bait that can do what these do.

FORMULA-X

We have all gotten used to the fact that soft plastic baits are easily torn.  They catch fish, so we just live with it.  The lifelike series is made from a patent pending material called Formula-X.  This new material is many times more durable than traditional soft plastic.  Formula-X will stretch to many times its original length and it is much more difficult to cut.  Combine the action with the durability and these baits are an incredible value.

Care and Maintenance of Formula X:

With a little care these Formula X baits will catch more fish per bait than you ever thought possible from soft plastic. Store them away from material containing petroleum.  Old style soft baits, carpet made from recycled plastic, oil spills, etc.  For long-term storage, lay them flat, or better yet, hang them from the hook-on point at the nose of the bait.  As with all baits, baking them on the deck of your boat for 10 days in 95 degree heat isn't going to improve them.  This goes for the hard baits as well. UV rays will fade the paint and yellow the clear coat. It aslo fades the hair on your bucktails and spinners.

Lifelike Lures- 12 inch Pike/Musky Model

This bait has the most life like movement of any bait I have ever seen.  When moving in the water it is like having a pike on the line at the end of every retrieve.  When you use a pull pause or a crank pause retrieve with the suspending version, the bait hangs in the water exactly like a stunned or wounded fish.  The countdown version has the same awesome movement that gets to the deep edges faster and is fantastic trolled.

Have you ever wanted to give the Muskie something they haven’t seen a zillion times?  This lizard has an amazing head shake.  When the head moves the tail follows in a snake like motion.  The lizard also suspends which makes it perfect for twitching around heavy cover.  You will get a ton of large bass from this bait as well.

Lifelike Lures - 6 inch Panfish Model

There are many times when I want to move fast and burn a bait to locate active fish.  The 6 inch Lifelike Panfish was designed specifically for this type of fishing.  You now have the option to burn a bait that actually looks and moves like a fish.  The tail on the panfish gives tremendous flash and vibration.  It is weighted to count-down quickly so if you want to fish a deep edge at 12 feet, the panfish will get there quickly and stay at that level. If you want to fish over the top of shallow structure, just start reeling as soon as it hits the water.  This is also a fantastic trolling bait.
